Chapter Four

When I awoke the next morning, the mouth-watering scent of bacon cocooned me in an unexpected wave of comfort…and longing. I longed to wake up to the sound of her singing to the radio while she cooked, to wake up knowing that woman was mine every morning, every day and every evening.

She’d told me she loved me last night, after all. That tidbit of knowledge made my decision to move here—if the deal for the old doctor’s office went through—the right one. I’d finally worn her down and it felt amazing.

I slid from the bed, slipped my shorts over my hips—not bothering to button or zipper them—and made my way to the bathroom. After flicking on the light, I stood in awe. Only a small nightlight lit the area when I’d used the room during the evening so my view had been mostly in shadow. Her bathroom was nothing like the rest of her suite. In the rear corner sat a spa tub large enough for a party of four. The vanity and cabinetry were the same color as her living area furnishings, with a gleaming countertop that resembled granite. A standalone shower occupied the other corner. Paige hadn’t skimped on the state-of-the-art shower heads and jets.

The woman may have had simple decorating tastes, but her bathroom wasn’t even close to mundane.

After taking care of my business, I ambled into the kitchen where the smell of fried pork drew me like a moth to the flame. Paige stood at the stove, swinging her hips to the beat of a rather loud and fast song. The sway of those hips was hypnotic, making all the blood flow to a lower part of my anatomy. She turned around and yelped when she saw me. “Good Lord, Ben, you scared ten frickin’ years off me.” Her gaze lowered and stopped at about halfway down. “I see you’re, ah…awake.”

“You could make a dead man pop a boner.” I stroked my erection, wanting to bury said erection in her pussy. “It would be a shame to waste it.”

She turned to the stove, switched off the burner and faced me. “I don’t have any guests due until next week.” Grabbing the tie of her boldly patterned robe, she gave it a tug and allowed the fabric to fall open.

“Hot damn!” She was nude underneath. “Come here,” I growled, crooking my finger.

The robe slid from her body as she walked toward me. I grabbed her upper arms and pulled her against me. My hard dick rested on her soft stomach and I ground my hips, feeling the friction of skin to skin.
